Fender Twin Reverb which is called the 94 Twin as they were first launched in 1994.This was from Fenders Professional Tube range of amplifiers which was the top range of Fender amplifiers at the time. This model dates from 1998 and has spent its time as my main recording amplifier so the condition of this is as new. I have owned quite a few vintage Fender silverface Twin Reverbs over the years and I can say this is the most flexible Fender Twin Reverb that I have owned. The reason that I bought this was because of the numerous added features over previous models and for flexibility of recording. If you want a classic Fender Clean sound then you cannot beat a Fender Twin but for recording I also wanted an amplifier that would crunch just like a Fender and this amplifier does that superbly. These amplifiers have a huge range of features which are fully listed in the manual but the main ones are the very useful Hi/Low output function switch which drops the output to 25 watts. This means that you can get all the crunch and overdriven without the deafening volume levels that this amplifier has. The clean channel has the classic blackface Fender sound and If you want the best clean sound at high volume levels then the full 100 rms is available by simply using the toggle switch. The amp has a built in balance DI out, Effects send and return with level control, channel assignable reverb which is the best in the business, multiple speaker hook up options for 4, 8 or 16 ohms via the impedance selector.
This Twin has two distinctively voiced channels , Channel One is the classic vintage Fender sound but has the option to produce more modern sounds by the use of the switchable gain and master volume controls. Channel Two is the sound of a hot rodded Fender and with the 94 Twin Fender put in the highest gain circuit to date when compared to previous Fender amps. So what you get is the typical Fender Twin clean channel with a boost option and an added gain channel with a high gain setting which goes from hot rodded Fender to a Mesa Boogie style high gain sound.
The amplifier comes with fitted 19 inch tilt back legs and is on castors to make it easy to move around and with the Original footswitch. Its nice owning many amplifiers and if you want a tip that could save you a lot of money, the reality is that this Fender 94 Twin Reverb is the only amplifier that you need to own.
