Description
2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard which has a highly Flamed Maple Tiger Stripe Top which is AAA rated top. It is finished in original Trans amber with rosewood finger board. This guitar is nicknamed “Greeny” as it is named after Peter Green famous Les Paul standard. The guitar was made in Gibson Nashville factory in the USA in 2005 and is in excellent condition with a very fast rosewood finger board. The frets show a small amount of wear which can been seen on the 3rd fret in picture 11 .The neck is straight with a very low fast action and is very comfortable to play. The white binding has aged to a nice cream colour over the years and the guitar is very resonant. The guitar has matching mahogany back and matching neck and this guitar is very light, weighing just 9.44.lbs which makes it a dream to play. The guitar is complete original as it left the factory and has nickel parts and pick up covers so it has that vintage vibe on stage.
This has been my main Les Paul and has slight worming on the back of the guitar. The front of the guitar has a few chips and dings that you would expect on a guitar of this age. The guitar looks superb under stage lighting as the flame maple top really catches the light and gives off a warm vintage vibe. This is also very loud when played acoustically as it is very resonant.
Soundwise this Less Paul standard has all the warm woody sound that you would expect from a guitar with a mahogany back and neck. It sounds both full and fat and is possibly the warmest sounding of any Les Paul that I own. It is a superb Blues Rock guitar that will no doubt satisfy the most experienced guitar players. This is a stunning looking and playing Les Paul standard that comes with the Black Gibson case.
