1975 Fender Precision Bass which is in natural finish with a maple neck. This bass is totally original and is well cared for and is a pure funk machine as it has the most well balanced percussive sound of any Precision Bass that I have ever owned. In terms of musical instruments this is certainly the most versatile Fender Precision Bass that I have had the pleasure to own and play. The bass is made from lovely grained premium grade ash body. I have always favoured ash for my bass guitars for one simple reason; due to the wood density it has better sustain characteristics. This bass is made from a very tight grained ash and combined with the very hard maple neck gives this bass a slap sound that is really percussive. Roll off the tone and you get plenty of bass with a nice punchy edge for those Rock and Blues gigs. This bass will do all the sounds from pumping Hard Rock bass, Stranglers Jean Jacques Burnel classic aggressive sound to the Funk of Chic bassman Bernard Edwards.
The neck is made of hard maple and has a skunk stripe with the truss road adjustment at the bottom of the neck. The bass has no unplayable chips or dings in the neck and the skunk stripe has never lifted. The neck is straight with a very low fast action which make this a killer player. The frets show minimal wear and are in perfect condition and the neck date is 1975 pots dates are 36th week of 1975.
This bass is in totally mint condition and you will not find a nicer 41 year old bass. The bass has no buckle rash on the back of the body as over the years as I have always have removed my belt when playing. It has a few dings on the body but nothing worth mentioning. This bass has the Killer 1970’s Precision Bass sound and the bass comes with the original black Fender case which is very tatty but still usable and both pickup covers.
